Innovations are indispensable for driving profitable growth. In awareness of this, we continually optimise our research and development activities. This yields a steady stream of value-adding innovations that are readily adopted by the markets.
In Heiligengrabe, for example, we have developed a line of wood-based, eco-friendly insulation products to market maturity and begun manufacturing them as an additional offering: they range from the highly insulating wood-fibre boards SWISS KRONO flex and SWISS KRONO safe to the multifunctional SWISS KRONO silverline. Another of our innovative developments is officially approved SWISS KRONO OSB with a board length of 15 metres.
The latest innovation to come out of our R&D department is flame-resistant OSB boards.SWISS KRONO OSB SF-B meets the strict European test criteria and other requirements that building materials must satisfy to qualify for this fire rating.
Laminate floors from SWISS KRONO are rugged, compression-proof even when installed in commercial establishments and naturally also available with insulating board to minimise impact and reflected walking sound. The easy-to-clean panels are abrasion-resistant, flame-retardant, lightfast and non-staining. The floors of the Ocean collection are even resistant to sprayed water.
We have added innovative decors to our collections. The new surface structures approximate the look and feel of real wood and stone more closely than has ever before been achieved. Customers in more than 80 countries are already convinced of the benefits of these forward-looking “made in Germany” products.
Looking ahead, we will continue to foster a highly motivating climate of creativity in order to successfully introduce new, progressive ideas to the market for wood-based materials.
